The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 31 October – 12 November 2021.

The COP26 summit will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

The UK is committed to working with all countries and joining forces with civil society, companies and people on the frontline of climate change to inspire climate action ahead of COP26.

About COP

The annual United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP) is the largest forum for governments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the scientific community, and the business sector to convene around the issue of climate change.

The COP Presidency rotates among the following five regions: Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Western Europe, and Latin America and the Caribbean. The COP26 UN Climate Change Conference, hosted by the UK in partnership with Italy, will take place from 31 October to 12 November 2021 in the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, Scotland.
